Modern Soul, Disco, House!

Hello again,

This Friday we turn our heads to modern soul, disco and house. Special mentions to top LPs from Karin Jones, Family Circle, Caress on P&P, the very rare Chosen Few mini album on Newman and William Stuckey's tough-to-find "Love of mine" (including the mellow groover "The first time"). Sweet soul/two step fans need to check the Stage Coach album for the full version of the monster slowie "When you left, you did me in".

Soul and disco 45s include the biggie "Keep you burning" from Shider Family Band (top copy), Serena Johnson's "All work and no play" and the all-time two step fave "Midnight lovers" by Passion, among modern soul classics by Winfield Parker, Bloodstone and Mellaa.

We also offer a good amount of house 12"s this time, both old school and more current titles, plus some sought-after re-edit 12"s from recent years. It was a delight to go back and listen to Robert Owens on the perennial "Bring down the walls", and made perfect sense when played after classic disco 12"s from George Duke and Chain Reaction ("Dance freak" does what it says - disco funk dynamite!).

See all new arrivals at www.recordmania.se/news.php and have a look at all the additions from earlier this week too.
