60's and 70's soul and rock!

This week we deliver plenty of records by the big names in the Soul world like several LPs by Marvin Gaye, Mary Weels, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Sly Stone, Al Green, Ann Peebles and many more. Some very rare one's as well as the early Motown LP by Eddie Hollard (Jamie), Four Invaders northern 45 Making tracks baby on Bray records, Ron Henderson's superb LP "Soul Junction" on Chelsea. Also some fine rock and prog records as the swedish only Älgarnas Trädgård.

Rare groove and jazz

Today we're having a rare groove special on recordmania.net. Killer classics by Meters, Cymande, JB's, Gary Bartz. There's also some very seldom seen records like Ann Sexton's debut LP "Loving you loving me" that's even though it's a big label release (SS7) is a record that circulates very little. Beautiful clean copies of Maceo's "Doing their own thing" plus some very rare 45's like Barbara Howard "I don't want your love", Second Movement's "People get down" on Witch's brew. Not many but some fine Brasilian 45 only tracks and a bunch of Jazz records on labels like Savoy, Riverside, Contemporary.

Next week we will concentrate on classic soul LP's from the 60's and early 70's. Big names like Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Donny Hathaway, Sly Stone, Al Green - artists that has released some of the best records in soul music. There will be some rarer soul records as well plus a nice batch of rock and prog records.

We have finally started working on the German jazz collection we bought some time ago which means that we this week have a huge number of Saba and MPS titles added to the site (check below for some of the rarer ones). More German jazz (and other stuff from that collection) will follow later... Not only jazz this week but also the usual dose of soul, funk, disco, latin, hip hop and more. Next weeks focus will be on Rare Groove-records.
