Weekly update 26/7 - Barbara Mason, Bodega Band, Lord Finesse, Boris Gardiner, Freddie Redd, Tommy Potter and more...

This week has brought a lot of good records to our stock (just as we aim for every week), and might be of extra interest for collectors of Jazz EP's and Lord Finesse material. The Soul/Funk/Disco, Jazz, Rock and Hip-Hop sections are all filled up with great stuff.

Do have a look at some of our recommended records like the previously unissued Young Souls 7" and Superfly Records great reissues of Full Moon Ensemble and Fabiano Orchestra.

And while you're at it, why not catch up with us on Facebook? We post even more pictures of records, and occasionally report on what's going on in the store which could be fun for all of you who don't live nearby!

See all records added this week with our New in stock-feature:

Or in our newsletter, if you don't already subscribe to it. If you miss out on something you really wanted, remember to add it to your automated want-list. That way you'll get a heads-up the next time we have it in stock.

And take a look at a couple of the more exclusive records below:

Barbara's second album, highly recommended sweet soul classic.

One of his more seldom seen albums, with a cover that I hope doesn't violate any blogger-regulations.

Norwegian indie jazz with the great, funky "Murrayburn goes Chicago" (how about that for a song title?)

Funky and soulful reggae with the massive "Melting pot", "Ain't no sunshine" and more.

1960 piano trio 7", one of many other jazz EP's added today.

Very rare Swedish EP recorded in 1956 with Tommy Potter and Joe Harris.

Limited 2011 release from one of the UK's finest.

Something for the Lord Finesse fan and 5" Hip Hop collectors! Several other collectible Lord Finesse records added today as well.

Die cut picture disc produced by Large Professor, made for his 2012 European tour. Check out the one for his Japanese 2013 tour also.

One of the best Swedish psych records I've heard, musically strong and experimental.

Mono original of this classic set with Horace Silver, Jay Jay Johnson, Kenny Clarke a o.

1957 trio recording with Lars Holmgren and Anders Burman.

Brazilian garage rock with some funk and a psychedelic feel.

Very strong Norwegian jazz LP with such beautiful cover art.

Highly sought after modern soul with a unique groove!

Stanko playing trumpet in the Taj Mahal and the Karla caves, definitely a spectacular soundtrip.

1956 EP featuring Hacke Björksten, Freddie Redd, Åke Persson and others.

Quite rare free jazz LP from 1987, in top condition.
